Stars Return – Arsenal's Possible XI vs Bayern Munich

Olivier Giroud of ArsenalGunners will go into the Round of 16 match against Bayern full of confidence after beating Liverpool at the Emirates in the FA Cup.
The European Champions were the ones who eliminated Arsenak at this stage of the competition last season.
Arsenal were dismantled in their own backyard 3-1 by Bayern Munich. They did bounce back in the second leg but the home performance eventually meant that they were ousted on away goals.
Wenger’s men will hope to win the tie this time around but Bayern gone from strength to strength under the management of Pep Guardiola and it will be the most difficult tie of their season.
As far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, Giroud is likely to return to starting XI after sitting on the bench against Arsenal.
Sanogo did a fine job as a striker vs Liverpool but in a game of that high stature, experience players are required and Giroud may as well return.
Other than that, Cazorla,Wilshere and Gibbs are also expected to return to the starting XI for the big Champions League game.
Here is Arsenal’s possible starting XI vs Bayern Munich.

I don’t trust Giroud anymore, though is well known of scoring games like this UCL……To me Wenger has to use Giroud first 45 and then Sanogo to finish the remaining 45.Go Gunners let’s prove to our pundits.

I believe this team has put in there very best against all odds and can beat bayern if they have that collective will.but wenger should take the sole blame of not giving this team that vital component of a key goal banger when he had that opportunity in january,it would have been an amazing arsenal..but i believe arsenal can win this 2-1.

I would prefer Rosicky in the double pivot, Wilshere has been waward with his passing and irresponsible with his blind running. I think Rosicky has the experience to be perform well in that deeper role.
Otherwise I agree with the team selection and depending on how the game is going Wenger can make changes with Podolski, Monreal and Sonogo.

Sanogo should play while Giroud should not even make the bench.
Sanogo is an unknown player that want to make a statement.

it would be better if we put our focuse on premier league and FA cup only and give up on CL coz the competition is stiff for us to compete in.

Arsenal must play intelligently and professionally. Play to referee’s whistle. Full concentration collectively and close opponents down immediately. Be alert all the time to defend or to strike. Be aggressive but not vicious to give away free kicks or penalty. Bayern will be looking for free kicks and penalty so we must not give them but we too must creat chances for free kicks and penalty professionally. The pressure will be on Bayern so take advantage by not yielding space with good close marking. They are human and will be rattled if we keep them at bay and from scoring for long period. Forwards must take advantage of any counter attacks created. One or two goals advantage will ratlle them in the second leg. It will be a game of nerves and we must play with no fear or pressure. Good chance to win if we play with belief, confidence and intelligence and as a team.

I agree with Michael Kiprop that Giroud is NOT a striker with killer instinct and finesse and definitely not the answer for Arsenal in the long term. We desperately need to buy a PROPER striker and a PROPER Defensive Midfielder and Right Back. Sanogo on one game that I have seen him seems to be a better proposition for further development. Giroud tries to act as a Prima Donna and is forever throwing tantrums at decisions instead of being concerned about retaining the ball and SHOOTING for goal more often. I find Giroud irritating to watch as it appears as though he thinks he is God’s gift to the human race.
