Manchester United keep getting linked with a host of top quality midfielders. The question is, who will David Moyes sign?
There is no doubt whatsoever that Red Devils’s weakest link is their central midfield and they need to lure one or two at the earliest in the winter transfer market.
According to reports, Moyes is still keen on signing Dortmund’s star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to reinforce their central midfield.
The German international has a release clause of €36m in his contract but with injury concerns and perhaps his desire to leave for dream club Manchester United, he may as well come cheap.
Gundogan has returned from injury and will be available for Dortmund after the festive period. However, he may as well move to another club before the action starts.
Ilkay has to play regularly and with United he will have enough time to earn his place in the World Cup 2014 national squad.
He was one of the most influential players for the German club and helped them reach the final of the Champions League last season.
The likes of Koke, Barkley and Reus are also linked but surely Moyes is not going sign all of them as the mentioned players are going to be very expensive and United do not really need that much crowd either.
Gundogan has only played one Bundesliga game this season and chances are there that he will play his next game elsewhere. Will it be with United, only time will tell.

Gundogan will work for us if we can get him. he is young, talented and can pass the ball. another concern for utd should be the wings. No big team in Europe where our wingers can start in their first eleven. talk of teams like madrid, barca, beyern, PSG and man city. this should be adressed by moyes if we are to win game. get rid of average players and replace them with quality players.

Yes he would certainly be the best option as he also qualifies to play in the champions league. Koke is one for the summer. But we need Ribiero as well to increase options on the wings
