Arsenal Update – Star will be Back after Hull Game

Lukas Podolski ArsenalArsenal are 4 points clear at the top of Barclays premier league but big Guns Chelsea and Manchester City are in-form and gunners must be consistent to maintain lead.
The North Londoners should be considered favorites against Hull City playing at the Emirates Stadium. However, the Tigers humiliated high flying Liverpool last weekend and will look to carry on the momentum.
Arsene Wenger provided injury update and team news for the game.
Sagna will be out of the game and Jenkinson will return to take his place at right back position.
The good news for gunner supporters is that German international Lukas Podolski will be fit after the Hull game as he will return to normal training. Wenger claimed:

“Lukas Podolski should be back in normal training after the Hull game.”

However, the manager believes that at least after one full week of normal training, Poldi will be ready to make the squad and be match fit.

“What he lacks is competition. You would say it will take at least a week with normal training to consider him fit for the squad.”

Rightly so, even Walcott has not been handed a single start after his return from injury and with the level of competition in Arsenal’s attacking midfield, Podolski will find it hard to break into the first team on regular basis.
It will be intriguing to see how he will perform alongside compatriot Mesut Ozil as both have been ripping teams apart playing for the national side.
