The Saints lost their last game at the Emirates Stadium and surely Stamford Bridge is not going to be any easy as well.
Chelsea played a different 4-3-3 formation versus the Hammers that worked brilliantly, however with tired players, it back fired against Basel.
Fans are of the view that Mourinho must not start Lampard each and every game as against quality oppositions he has been awful.
Other than that, they also want last year’s player of the season Mata back into the starting lineup but will Mourinho pay any heed to their advice. Highly unlikely as that will be very unlike Jose.

The greatest mistake that mourinho does is starting lampard ahead of mikel at all the time because he(lampard) lacks the strength, and so, he can’t charge the midfield, he can’t block opponent’s passes, of which is our main source of error. And also, he has no reason for benching mata. So these are the problems we have.
Funny how shallow some so called Chelsea fans are. But more worrying is their forgetfulness, Lack of facts And biased comments like the guy who said he has never seen Chelsea play as poorly as they played against basel before.
Go look for the tapes of games under Rafa Benitez, with Benayoun and co in the midfield And you would be in tears in few mins. Go look for the games against city, Liverpool and any other top team we played.
Personally, I don’t agree with Mou benching Mata he deserves to play, just like every one else, but I also don’t agree with him deserving τo play simply because he was Chelsea’s best player in one of our worst recent seasons in the EPL. At a point last year, we were 3 points behind the league leaders. Months later, we were so far away that even if the leaders had lost 5 matches, they still won’t be looking over tђeir shoulders.
We played terribly against Newcastle and Basel and lost, but this same team with Mata couldn’t qualify from the group stage of the champions league last season and 2 sessions ago, couldn’t even finish 4th on the league.
What does that mean, it means Mata is No Drogba so less fuzz about him playing or Not, the team is well on track and the coach definitely knows best.
You might have forgotten that Chelsea squad was very thin and there was no depht. On the other hand, with the squad this team has now, plus the qualities available, it looks very sad that Chelsea still has no answer. Torres is the man to strike,its always Luiz and anybody to partner him while Cole takes back his place and Azpi comes in for Iva. Hazard and Schurrle can share the left wing while KDB and Can share the AM role while Willian will share with Mata,period. #Mou is just being stubborn.
