Man United in Pole Position to sign €30m Player of the Year

Nemanja Matic ChelseaHaving splashed a massive sum to sign Marouane Fellaini from Everton in summer, Manchester United are still looking to sign a quality midfielder mainly because the Belgian has done nothing productive.
Fellaini was one of the best midfielders in the league during his time at Everton. Renowned for both his defensive and attacking abilities, the tall midfielder has not been able to produce top form for Red Devils.
David Moyes has dropped him more than a few times for average performances and it is likely that he will bring a quality midfielder in winter to solve the problem.
They have been linked with numerous midfielders and the latest reports suggest as per Talksport that Man United are in pole position to sign €30m player of the year of last year’s Portuguese league, Nemanja Matic.
The Benfica star won the coveted Primeira Liga player of the year award deservedly as he won player of the month awards three times during the course of last campaign. He was fantastic in both domestic competition and in Europe.
Matic joined Benfica in 2011 as a deal sweetener to lure Brazilian David Luiz to Chelsea and now has become a star for the Portuguese side. Surely Chelsea must be upset now.
Liverpool and Chelsea are also linked with the midfielder. Chelsea already have many top central midfielders. On the other hand Liverpool really need one badly.
Earlier this year, Benfica’s manager did claim that he has no intention of selling his star player. However, a mammoth bid of 30 million Euros is definitely going to make things complicated.
As previously reported on TalkSport, United are also linked with Valencia’s Ever Banega. Who will United sign to fill the void in central midfield, we shall see.

Moyes isn’t a top manager and his situation is worsened by the duds that SAF left him: Cleverley, Welbeck, Young, Jones, Evra, Anderson et el. Basically, a bad team made worse by Moyes’ appointment. Fellaini seems like a deer in the headlights. Finally, the roll-on factor of Moyes’ appointment is the utterly anonymous and incompetent coaching staff. Have you heard of Round before? No, right? Utd lost the plot when SAF managed to hoodwink the Glazers to appoint a below-average manager in Moyes. Cynics say it’s SAF’s way of retaining power after “retiring”. So sad as a Utd fan. A mid table team beaten by all and sundry. Now seems scared by an Arsenal team that is a fluke, no more. They won’t be tops in May but so won’t be Utd.

Man United surely will beat Asernal. But we need strongly the above mentioned midfielders who will take us to the top of the table and win the championship. Moyes can do it, yes he CAN.

As a red living in manchester we have seen the demise of our team over the 3 seasons. Saf as left us with a very week side only good enough for mid table we need midfield players of high quality the players we have are by far not good enough. If we get through into knock out round in Europe only hope we don’t draw a top side as we will get easilly beaten. We’re streets behind city which is hard to take on the streets of manchester.as for moyes is he running the side as he’s changed the team nearly every match get some continuity in the side before it’s to late don’t make us look stupid like you did in the last transfer window with a last minute by of fellani who didn’t make the side any better so buck up with your back room staff or do one soon concerned eccles red

I just dont get why anyone would want rid of Jones He has great athleticism, speed, stamina and a will to win for such a young player and he will only get stronger He is already our best man marker and his versatility and willingness to play and give his all anywhere he is put on the pitch makes him an indispensable member of the squad. He is still a baby at 21 and will be a mainstay for another decade. He just needs to keep adding facets to his game which with a bit of coaching and experience will turn him into a genuine top class player
