Arsenal Inquire about Signing €64m Star Striker

If there is one position Arsenal need to fill badly this winter, it is that of a top quality striker as they have no depth in that department.
French Star Giroud is performing really well by scoring goals, adding assists and helping in build up play but if he gets injured, gunners have no one to replace him.
Arsenal have been linked with many top strikers over the past summer and even now. The one they have recently inquired about is surely going to replace Giroud in the starting XI.
According to Daily Star, reports in France suggest that Gunners have inquired about the possibility of signing €64m Star Striker Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Uruguayan superstar only signed for the Ligue 1 champions last summer for a mammoth sum and is performing well. Why would he want to sacrifice Champions League football this season to move to premier league.
Le10Sport have also claimed that Arsenal are likely to fail because of his high wage demands that can be matched by Chelsea and Manchester City.
However, all that is secondary, the first thing is that can Arsenal pay that hefty sum of 64 million Euros to break their transfer record again after doing it in summer to lure Mesut Ozil.
On the other hand, with Giroud doing so well, they do not really need someone who will directly replace him. They need someone who is versatile and can play out wide as well as CF like Lavezzi.
By all means every Arsenal fan will be over the moon if gunners can lure last year’s Serie A top scorer and one of the best strikers in the world Cavani but it is highly unrealistic.
