Therefore, gunners and Reds surely need reinforcements in the January transfer window if they really want to challenge for the title.
According to Daily Star, Liverpool and Arsenal want in-form Greek striker Kostas Mitroglu.
The striker currently plays for Olympicaos and is in the form of his life. He scored 11 league goals last season but this year the stats are unreal as he has already netted 10 league goals in 7 games.
Mitroglu has struck an astounding 4 Hattricks in 8 starts for the Greek side this season, 3 in the Super league and one in the Champions League.
Moreover, Daily star also suggests that the prolific forward can be signed for an amount of 7 million pounds. With that form, the mentioned sum is real cheap.
Reds have the best duo in the league, Suarez and Sturridge and they recently signed Aspas this summer. They do not really need another striker that bad. Midfield should be the priority.
Arsenal should try to lure him more than Liverpool as they only have Giroud to take care of things but if he gets injured, there is an okayish Bendtner. Mitroglu can help solve that problem.
If his brilliant form continues then Olympiacos can expect top clubs getting into bidding war to sign him and it will be hard to hold on to him.
