3 Key Battles – Liverpool vs West Brom

3 Key Battles – Liverpool vs West BromReds will host West Brom at Anfield today in a tricky fixture. West Brom did a double against Liverpool last season and have won 4 of their last 5 fixtures.
The last time merseysiders were victorious was in the league cup thanks to a brace scored by Turkish international Nuri Sahin who returned to Borussia Dortmund.
Here are the three key battles that may decide the outcome of today’s game.
Suarez vs WBA Defense
The Uruguayan international has returned from ban but has not lost his prolific form. Already with 3 goals in 3 PL games, Suarez has been causing havoc in opponent’s defense and supporting Sturridge upfront.
WBA defenders will have to be on their toes to stop the menacing forward however that is only easier said than done.
Mignolet vs B. Myhill
The battle of the goal keepers. Mignolet started his Liverpool career in fantastic fashion, three clean sheets in the opening three league games. However since then, Reds have not kept a clean sheet.
Belgian international has all the right to blame defenders for their set piece howlers as well. On the other hand Myhill will have a tough task keeping his goal against the best striking duo in the league SAS.
Gerrard vs Yacob
Liverpool captain has scored twice in the last two games thanks to penalties. He has normally been playing as a deep lying playmaker but for today’s game Gerrard may play in a different setup as an AM.
Argentine Yacob will have the job to stop Stevie from dominating midfield play and his influence in the attacking third.
