Liverpool ahead of Bayern and Barca in AP Rankings

Liverpool ahead of Bayern and Barca in AP RankingsReds have started their season in style, 4 wins out of 4 and especially three in the league without even conceding a single goal thanks to their solid defense and quality goal keeper.
With such top performances, Liverpool are ahead of Bayern and Barca in this week’s AP rankings after defeating their rivals Manchester United 1-0 at Anfield.
The merseysiders lead the rankings with 149 points while the European and Spanish champions are in 2nd and 3rd place with 130 and 118 points respectively.
Here are the top 5 rankings:

  • Liverpool (149)
  • Bayern (130)
  • Barca (118)
  • Juventus (112)
  • Arsenal (99)

Not many really expected Liverpool to start the season that strongly.
However, against all obstacles they are the only team left in the premier league with the perfect record.
It is too early to say that Brendan Rodgers’s men are now title contenders.
They have always lacked consistency, if they can overcome that then for sure at least Champions League qualification will be guaranteed.

I’m seriously happy with the kind of tempo LFC decided to go on with. They had made a promise that theirs main target these season is champion league spot & as well what ever they gonna do in order to achieve that they have resolves to do that. So with the way things are going on now for the club they really mean business. They are now abiding to our slogan that says, You never walk alone , bcos we the Kop are behind you the players.

I plead with FSG to give BR MONEY to bring in an experienced AM come january and wit this momentum we’ll finish top 4 if not lifting the league. YNWA

  23. Ani Zanz says:

There are only three games gone and we can’t get carried away but it’s always nice to see the club you are passionate about sitting on top of the tree.
It’s been a great start to the season and a complete contrast to a year ago. Last season we were under pressure from the moment we lost at West Brom and were playing catch-up.
This time around we are setting the pace and the great thing is we haven’t played anywhere near our best football yet.
I actually thought Sunday was probably our worst passing performance under Brendan Rodgers. We didn’t keep the ball hardly at all in the second half.
But the fact that we didn’t play well and still beat United made it all the sweeter.
Under Alex Ferguson, you knew you would have to play at your best to beat United. That’s not the case anymore.
What really pleased me was how hard the players worked for each other. You can see that the team spirit is strong.
It was a big result for the club. Last season people kept on saying about how we hadn’t beaten any of the top teams.
We have put that one to bed and that result should breed a lot of confidence.

  24. Sylvergreat says:

LIVERPOOL is a force to reckon with in british football.YNWA.

  25. Igwe Chi says:

I still can’t believe that it’s liverpool topping the league comfortably and other clubs like Cheski, manure, manshit, arshuwal and totois even evaton that finished above livpool last season are trying to catch up. Long shall it continue in Jesus Name Amen. What do you think?

  26. Afranie Ababio says:

    YNWA!!!!!!!!!!

  27. ezinwok divine says:

for past 5 season now, liverpool have not won three matches in roll, in a beginning league like they have done so far. So with this respect, the glorious time have come. The time we all are crying for have come. Lets keep the faith. YNWA.

  28. YENEZER YILMA says:

This is what all we want i i can’t expect we can achive this kind of best result and now i really hope we can do the best and achive good coz amazing sprit of this team and very good maneger lead as to top4!!!!YWNWA !!!!YOU WILL NEVER…NEVER…and NEVER WALK ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. Fred Akinsanmi says:

Ynwa, great stuff guys, this is our season,we are a big club and deserves our place at the top, good job Bren and the lads, wishing our new signings best of luck

  30. Savnadredman says:

It’s fitting that we are celebrating Shanks birthday,as I feel that BR is starting a new era, that is similar to the challenge that Bill took on in the 60’s.
The club has been pretty low on morale and in league placings, due to many many bad decisions, but since BR arrived there has been a sense of purpose and steely ambition, and he is getting the best out of other’s cast offs.
The window has provided astute signings ,and to think when El Goofy comes back soon,it will be like another new signing !
    Onwards Redmen. YNWA

  31. Wale smith says:

My prayer is that y the end of october we should bbe toping the league with 27 point and i pray it wil be in the name of Allah.l.f.c for life.

  32. foreverRed says:

I’m really hoping we can keep this going. The good thing is we haven’t even played to our best for a full game. All going well we can keep the good form going while getting stronger and be firing on all cylinders when we meet our closest rivals. I will be so happy if we can keep it going all season and get back into Europe. YNWA

  33. Brad says:

All the other top clubs around us will be playing in europe and will drop points. We have 3rd best player in the world coming back soon in Suarez! If we keep up the good form until January and get Yarmelenko and Damiao for 45m we can win the league! FSG want the league title this year.

  34. james says:

wow reading these comments. If we won the league as many have said people would be talking about it as the biggest upset since David battered goliath. We’re bound to have some bad days at the office; you never know we might fall apart at Swansea, take some calm pills, I’m sure we will do great but equally ready for poor games too… Ynwa except those of you who walk ahead a wee bit.
