Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil was Scared of Madrid New Boy Isco

Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil was Scared of Madrid New Boy IscoZinedine Zidane, arguably one of the best players of his generation had something to say about Arsenal new boy Mesut Ozil and it was not nice.
The legendary star claimed that German international did not have the strength to fight for his place at the biggest club in the world.
Instead, he opted for the easy way and left for Arsenal. The question is, Is Zidane Right to blame Ozil? If he is, then surely Ozil’s main concern was new Los Blancos’s star Isco.
Madrid have signed numerous stars this summer, however one player that has started the campaign with a bang is Isco. The Spanish youngster not only outshone Mesut Ozil but also star player Crisitano Ronaldo has been overshadowed for now.
In such a scenario, Ozil found himself with less playing time in the fixtures that he played for Madrid in the new season.
Ancelotti did not claim he wants Ozil to leave, nor did Zidane and above all even Ozil did not say a word about Madrid wanting him out of the club.
He is one of the best playmakers in the world, but there was no doubt that Isco was out performing him and everyone and inevitably won his first team place in the side. There is one place for CAM and even the Arsenal supporters will have to agree that Isco thoroughly deserved to start ahead of Ozil.
Zidane believes that certain stars had options but Ozil did not want to fight for his place and left.

“Now we have added players like Isco and new players such as Jese and Morata increasing competition. There are players who have responded with strength and will to fight.”
“Not everyone reacted the same. Di Maria said he wanted to fight. Ozil, who is a great player and he gave a lot to Madrid, decided to leave, and we wish him well. Isco is a spectacular player.”

Understandable that with the World Cup coming up next year, he wanted to start regularly to continue starting for national side. However, did he really opt for the easy way?
A star of his caliber and quality could have, should have fought for his place. Was Ozil really scared of Madrid new boy Isco?

Since his crazy headbutt, I know that Zidane is capable of saying erratic things. It is very uncharitable of him to say this about Ozil

@Steve and Oguntuase – *smh* Zidane spoke in English if I’m not mistaken, so I’m at a loss as to what you lot are insinuating about the football legend. What’s “undignified or erratic” about his quotes here? Jeez!

Zidane is a great guy bt saying those words about ozil is unprofessional. Apart frm Cr7 in madrid ozil is arguably the best player there, zidane should think abt his stupid act he an let talk.

  5. OGB says:

Ozil is a great player any day. zidane can talk what ever he wish. if Ozil and zidane are generational mate ozil would be a better player than zidane

  6. Idorenyin says:

Zou-Zou that is not true. The board asked the coach to name a player he considered surplus to requirement and Ozil was named. Where lies the truth in your story?
