Arsenal and Man City to Battle for La Roja Star

Arsenal and Man City to Battle for La Roja StarTwo of the best teams in England, Arsenal and Man City arguably have the most inconsistent of goal keepers in their squad.
City’s Joe Hart won three golden glove awards in a row but since last season his form has taken a massive fall.
The inconsistent form of the England goalie continues this season as well. On the other hand, Arsenal never bothered taking care of the goalkeeping situation too seriously.
Szczesny is talented but unable to show consistent form and that does not help Arsenal by any means who are still without a top quality goalie after the departure of Lehmann.
Latest reports suggest that Arsenal and Man City are going to battle for La Roja star and captain Iker Casillas.
The Spaniard was the best goalkeeper in the world not so long ago. A legendary figure in Spain and Madrid but finds himself in a complex scenario where he has to sit on the bench despite being the captain of Los Blancos side.
Mourinho ousted him from the squad and bought Diego Lopez. To everyone’s surprise, new manager Ancelotti followed the footsteps of Jose and is still keeping Iker on the bench.
Del Bosque surely rates him above everyone else and may not oust him from the starting lineup of La Roja. However, with the World Cup coming next year, Casillas needs to be playing regularly and perhaps he will have to leave his beloved club in January.

Now one wonders why the Spanish media rags are not making a meal of this issue. Lol

I think he would stay anyway even he was on the bench for the rest of his career. Del Bosque has already said that he will still be the #1 for the national team even if he doesn’t play a single club game all season long.
