16 goals, 11 assists, Liverpool’s Next Playmaker?

16 goals, 11 assists, Liverpool’s Next Playmaker?Having lost out on playmakers like Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Willian and perhaps Eriksen, Liverpool are now looking to sign Dynamo Kyiv’s star player Andriy Yarmolenko.
According to reports in the media, the merseysiders have tabled €23m offer to hire the services of talented Ukranian playmaker who scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists last season.
Supporters have been waiting for that one marquee signing this summer that the club has failed to sign.
Even though Liverpool have won their opening fixtures, they still need more quality to compete at the top and qualify for the Champions League.
As Rodgers looks to sign versatile players, Yarmolenko completely fits the bill as he can play out wide as well as centrally.
Legendary striker Andriy Shevchenko praised the youngster’s goal scoring talent and the 23 year old will vastly improve Liverpool’s attack if they can lure him.
Perhaps, the best news for Liverpool is that for now Tottenham are not interested in him and only Liverpool have made an enquiry.
Spurs are close to signing two top talents in Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen and do not need more playmakers.
Rodgers must act fast now and sign him along with a solid center back before the transfer window closes on Monday or other suitors turn up.
Liverpool’s first real test will be against rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

COWBOY Henry & IDIOT ayre are only interested in SLASHING the WAGE BILL,and bringing in free agents, loan signings & CHEAP B class players. When we finish outside the TOP 10 this season all LFC fans should boycott the running of are club ;-( There’s a demonstration during the Man utd game & a sit in after it to find out what direction is are club is moving in.BECAUSE MOST FANS THINKS ITS SOUTH & RELEGATION…

    • Rich says:

Stop talking utter shite. Nobody is interested in your vitriolic outbursts, they’ve not changed since your first post as Dean Jones. You are an idiot of the first order and belong in the Manure cheap seats.

    • RoyK says:

Go support some other club then! FSG aren’t bleeding us like the cowboys did, nor are they sugar daddies like many. Smart businessmen who run things with their head…something I think that you lack. In BR we trust!

    • bazza says:

      Danno,
Shut up talking like a moron and support your club. Take a look at what is happening, we are moving forward.

    • kenny says:

we are surely gonna be in top 4 u haters

  2. ayulex says:

This is liverpool opportunity to sign a marquee signing if they can let this Player fall into another hand it will be a disgrace to liverpool

    • RoyK says:

Just who’s a marquee signing anyway? Someone who costs millions of pounds? Would rather have BR unearthing more like Coutinho and Sturridge. Enough trying to sign marquee players!

      • Adeyemi Olamilekan says:

Liverpool really deserve T̶̲̥̅̊h̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ top 4 this season with their excellent performances so far but 4 this to continue we needed quality signing not just unworthy signing so pls FSG do something our season has come don’t let us play around with it

  3. heyehbahmhiji harkhinlolu says:

I’m absolutely sure dat LFC were moving in dirrect way, if they can secuire ds 1 as our marquee signing of d season. Yarmolenko is a great player, he’s a complete player wif 16goals and 11assists in a single season. It’ll surely suit (pattern of playin. I’v watchd him play even in U-tube, he’s dribblin, skillfull, strong, vasatiles, control and movement on d ball. D guy is just too perfect 4 our club! YNWA!!!

    • Noroblade says:

Be careful with what you see on these compilation youtube clips though. They select all of a player’s best moments and string them together to a soundtrack.
Regardless, I am hopeful we will get 1 or 2 more signings and do not care how much they cost. Watching football is more fun for me than it has been in recent years 😀

  4. roger says:

Yes it astonishes me how many “plastic” LFC “fans” are so negative. Unbelievable.
We are in the best shape for donkeys years with a bright future (Ibe,Sterling,Suso,Wisdom etc) and a v young first team in the main.
Dummies shud note that after the Jan transfer window we secured enuf points for the top 4.
15 plus other clubs can always gazump us with all their dosh and anyway sum of the big hitters have only 1 or 2 British lads who ever get a game. L’pool is your club so don’t diss it !!!!!!!

    • alex boyle says:

come on boys infighting is not the answer give them time to sort it out right just dont spend for the sake of it look at the money wasted the last few years on players no disrespect not good enough for lfc. just my thoughts ktf

  6. TOMMO says:

Even thou we have better players than last year I’m a bit worried that we don’t have enough cover especially at the back and if agger was 2 get injured who have we got for cover so plz plz buy a centre half now. I don’t know what people see in wisdom but I just don’t think is good enough 2 play 4 Liverpool

  7. Qlegy says:

    Same old story “marquee signing”

  8. Steve says:

I’ve heard the phrase “marquee signing” a lot over the last couple of weeks and like someone commented earlier I wondered what the definition of marquee signing is? As we all now in football nothing is guaranteed. The £80m spent by Chelsea on Schevchenko and Torres doesn’t look great value now but at the time both would have been considered marquee!! Look at it the other way the £1m Manu gave to Leeds for Cantona or the 2.7 we gave to Willem II for big Sami didn’t excite anyone at the time but I would rather have the impact of latter than the former. In a world so cut off from business reality it is quite refreshing to see the club being run like a real business, FSG did reduce the wage bill but it needed reducing!! My brother is a Leeds fan and I have seen the club he loves have a dramatic fall from grace due to overspending and poor management. (and don’t forget we came damn close to it ourselves) So I like all of you I know we need a decent centre back a winger worthy of the name but like FSG I’d rather another Couthino than another Carroll.

  9. Emmanuel omoko says:

We just need the right type of players to compete and committed players.

  10. Chi Denen says:

We nid a physical midfielder wit d skills of coutinho. coutinho lacks physicality u can see hw he ws bullied against stoke n even villa.i hvnt seen andriy bou if he is dt gud wit a big physic den lfc shod get him at once b4 its too late.

  11. youngpac says:

we just need yarmolenko nd sakho den our top 4 is guarante den wit coming back home will be a bonus but on cheeper price.YNWA 4 life.

  12. Nick says:

He did not get 16 goals last season. He scored 13 in the league. Another rubbish piece of blogging.

  13. RED FACTOR says:

Comparatively speakin, I think FSG are better than Tom n Jelly. N honestly speaking, most of us ddnt think much of suarez, sturridge n coutinouh when they came thru, but they exceeded out expectations. If truth b told , our lads r hav shown som improvmemt n r working as a cohesive unit. We all know wat unity can do. If it were not 4 champs league we wud hav landed some big names. We just hav 2 acept n celebrate who we hav, evn if they may not be who we desire n beliv can take us 2 our desired destination.1 think I know is that small things can do big things if treated n used properly. David killed a giant wit a small stone. Moses parted a sea with a stik. Size n skill don’t always gaurantee victory it d plan n its deployment that does so. Luk at wat man city had on d pitch last Sunday, Bt who won d much? Let’s not whin over wat we do not hav any control, and appluad wat we hav.

  14. STEVE says:

we dont only need a winger and a defender, lfc needs a defensive midfielder who is better than Lucas although Lucas is great,a winger on both flanks.Aspas is not a good player Downing is even more better than him, with this top 3 is ours?YNWA.

  15. Ani Zanz says:

FSG have not spent a penny!!
Constant lies about how there is big money available for new signings..yet so many players sold..and still no depth to squad.. Makes u think any purchases were solely dependent on sale of Suarez!!
Willian.. Mkhitaryan & Costa were merely smokescreens to keep all of us fans onside!
Otherwise why dither when players like Eriksen, Ljajic, Sakho, Alderweireld, Llori, Coentrao, Honda and many more are available at less than half their true worth!!
Southampon.. Spurs.. West Ham.. Norwich etc have all gone about their business without dithering!
Wage bill has been culled.. More TV revenue than ever before.. £20m a year from Standard Chartered.. £25m from Warrior.. Money from Garuda airlines.. Jack Wolfskin.. Chevrolet etc- Makes you wonder where it is all going!!!
All those talkin bout not paying over the odds.. Well just look at those mentioned above, without doubt their values would be much higher if they were not on last year of their contract…. Even Christian Atsu (who we were linked with) going to Chelsea for £3.5m!!!
Buck Rodgers himself said our early signings were for squad depth and we were looking now for “Quality” for first team but with just over 80 hours to go there is no one!!
We were told Mignolet was competition for Reina..then Reina is loaned to Napoli…
Realistically squad is showing too much weakness after 2 games..Against Utd No cover for Enrique, Nor for Agger or Skrtel (who are both less than 100% fit).. No experienced cover for Johnson..nor for Gerrard/Lucas/Henderson and only inexperienced cover for Aspas/Sturrdge/Coutinho in Alberto/Ibe/Sterling and a rubbish Borini… I have loved LFC all my life..best night of my life was in Istanbul 2005 but have to be a realist and concerned because those in charge are pulling the wool over our eyes BIG TIME!! Success WILL NOT come on a shoestring as proven by Utd.. City.. Chelsea and now Spurs. Even Wenger has found out since the “halycon” days of Henry,Pires,Bergkamp,Wiltord,Viera,Llundberg etc etc.

    • Roythered says:

Could’nt have put it better myself, we certainly are being duped. I too would like to know where the money is going, strange they have cash to splash for Red Sox. Makes you wonder if they’re keeping debt low for another take over.

  16. Dave s says:

Listen guys!! I think BR is doing a great job at our beloved club! I think he knows the sort of players he wants to bring in, although I agree that ayre is a little slow at getting these deals done! He tends to try negotiating a deal below the asking price and what’s happening is we r allowing other clubs (usually spurs) to join the race and more often than not these other clubs have either more money or cl football to offer! Have faith though guys, if we can get yarmolenko and sakho, illori or pappadopoulis we’ll have a good season! Imagine a front 4 of Sturridge, yarmelenko, Suarez and Coutinho with Gerrard and Lucas holding! That’s poss the best front 4 in the premiership!! Have faith,YNWA!!

  17. Adam says:

Brendan Rodgers press conference speaking on Yarmolenko “Never heard of him”

  18. roger says:
