Midfielder Could be Chelsea’s Marquee Signing this Summer

Midfielder Could be Chelsea’s Marquee Signing this SummerHaving already signed Andre Schurlle and Marco van Ginkel, Chelsea are in no mood of stopping their summer spending as Mourinho wants more reinforcements before the start of next season. Lately, reports suggest that the Blues are closing in on capturing Daniele De Rossi from Roma.
The Italian midfielder could be Chelsea’s marquee signing this summer if somehow the Londoners can lure the GialloRossi star. Jose is looking add a top quality defensive midfielder to increase depth in the position as Nigerian Mikel may depart Stamford Bridge this summer and Essien will be the remaining natural DM.
De Rossi is arguably one of the best defensive midfielders in the world right now and one that is tailor made for the premier league mainly because of his style of play.
However, signing the midfielder is easier said than done, not that Chelsea are unable to pay his asking price or wages but because De Rossi is one of those players who has only played for one club all their career. Like Totti, De Rossi has never left Roma, never even showed desire to leave.
Last year, there were a lot of speculations regarding the future of the Italian but he cleared everything up by claiming that:

“I have never thought about leaving Roma”

He has been regularly playing for Roma for the past decade but the World Cup winner with Italy has never won a single Serie A title. In 12 years, De Rossi has won three trophies with the capital club that include two Coppa Italias and one Supercoppa Italiana.
Daniele is widely regarded as a midfielder who can do it all, brilliant tackling, strength, the power shot from range and good passer. The Italian will improve any side and Chelsea can benefit from his versatile talent.
He has made 418 appearances for the GialloRossi and scored 47 times. Roma’s vice-captain is known as Captain Futuro, the one who will perhaps replace legendary Francesco Totti to become the captain of the club. However, that is only possible if he stays, his future is again in doubt. Whether or not Chelsea can sign their target, only time will tell.

It will be great plus to have this player added to our current fantastic team.
With him, I strongly believe the likes of Yaya toure, will stop intimidating our midfield at will.
With him, every seemingly stubborn player will get to know their bounds of limits.
PLS CHELSEAFC, GET THIS GUY FOR US AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
    BLUES FOR LIFE.

Chelsea can get De-Rossi in2 their fold but they should allow David Luiz 2 be, b’cos he’s an integral player in chelsea defence/midfield, whereas they can then allow Mikel Obi 2 leave. Thanks

Daniele De Rossi will be a perfect signing for chelsea.we all know mourinho’style,it will demand a defensive mildfielder who can play long ball quickly and with precision,De rossi can do that.we need a very strong mildfielder to stop all the opponent counter attacks, yet De rossi the perfect main to do that.the sooner he signs for chelsea the better
