LFC to Bid for Winger who Directly Contributed in 27 goals

LFC to Bid for Winger who Directly Contributed in 27 goalsHaving lost their prime transfer target Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Dortmund, Liverpool are looking for top quality alternatives. Brendan Rodgers wants to add an attacking midfielder to the lineup for next season and reports suggest that another Brazilian is considered as a solution.

According to SportsDirect, LFC are to bid for versatile winger Bernard who directly contributed in 27 goals in the last calendar year. The Brazil international plays for Atletico Mineiro and has been one of their star performers last season.

His brilliant outings with the club earned him a place in the Brazilian national squad for the FIFA Confederations Cup where the home side retained their title after beating the World and European Champions Spain in the final.

In 2012/2013, the 20 year old scored no less than 15 goals and provided 12 assists in league Futebol Brasileiro and Copa Libertadores. The youngster also played two cameos for the national side in Confed Cup against Italy and Uruguay.

Bernard naturally plays as a left winger for Atletico Mineiro, a position occupied by his compatriot Phil Coutinho at Liverpool who has made instant impact at Anfield. However, the Atletico starlet shift flanks with equal effectiveness.

Lately, Brazil utilized the midfielder on the left wing against Italy and on the right wing against the South American champions where he completely changed flow of the game after coming on as substitute in place of Hulk.

Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool can benefit from the prospect of both Brazilians playing on the wings, whereby Coutinho is brilliant with his touches, skills and passes and Bernard is renowned for his blistering speed and energy.

Reportedly, Bernard is available for a price of 15 million pounds, a sum that Liverpool should pay for such a bright talent.

IF Liverpool want to finish in top 4 or win the league title, then these names should be included in the squad
(eriksson, bernard, negredo, jorginho). They’re talented players who can help Liverpool push for the top 4

    • Bosco Moses says:

I love that idea, this four or most ultimately three out of the four will be realistic addition in the person of Erikksen, Bernad, & Jorginho. If we can get this three guys then we’re wining EPL.

  2. Nigel says:

Lfc must sign Eriksen, Yilmaz and Bernand, after the sale of Suarez

  3. Charlsetumu says:

Suarez should go nowhere, it will be hard to replace him. I do not want Liverpool to regret like Chelsea missing Drogba

  4. red says:

i would love to see bernard at lfc… the prospect of bernard, sturrdige (doubt suarez will be with us), coutinho up front with erikson behind them in the false 9 is mouth watering….

  5. Filo says:

All Liverpool needs to sign is Bernard, Eriksen and “Toby Alderweirled or Papa Kyrioqus” and if they can sign a CM-CDM that would be Strootmen =)
