LFC Classic – Fernando Torres’s Sublime Finish vs Arsenal

LFC Classic – Fernando Torres’s Sublime Finish vs ArsenalToday we bring you an El Nino special. Torres was arguably one of the best strikers in the world during his Anfield days and scored many fantastic goals for Liverpool. Now, he finds himself in a complex scenario at Chelsea where he has not been able to find his best form.
Fernando Torres scored no less than 33 goals for Liverpool in his debut season in England. Moreover, the Spaniard was also rated the 3rd best player in the world that season behind Ronaldo and Messi. He scored memorable goals in the Champions league 2007-08 against Inter, Marseille and here is the one against Arsenal.
Liverpool were favorites coming into the second leg of CL quarter final vs gunners but thanks to goals from Diaby and Hyppia, the tie was level on aggregate and away goals.
Torres stepped up and only needed half a chance to regain Liverpool’s lead. The merseysiders eventually won the tie 5-3 on aggregate. Enjoy the goal.

Thanks for this. Happy to say I was there, remember it very well. A very special night. I met Rafa after the match and asked how much he thought Torres was worth after that performance. He replied , ” I like him. I think we`ll keep him`.
Ahhh.. glory days. An absolutely quality team. Getting rid of Rafa was NESN`s first screw up….

Torres should come to Arsenal F.C. let the professor mold him back to his former self, I think only Wenger can do it, as he’s done for the likes of Henry( a “broken” winger at Juve), and many others like him, john Baptista, Alex Hleb, Tomas Rosicky, etc….
    Wenger is the “Footballers’ Whisper”
