Are Chelsea looking to Sell the Wrong Striker?

Are Chelsea looking to Sell the Wrong Striker? It looks more and more likely that Fernando Torres will be at Chelsea next season as the Blues are not interested in keeping Senegalese striker Demba Ba. German Marko Marin has already departed for Sevilla and now Anzhi are poised to sign Ba.
The arrival of Mourinho surely pointed towards many arrivals and exits. One main concerning position was that of a striker. Chelsea have signed the likes of Lukaku, Ba, Sturridge and Torres over the past few years but none has been as prolific as the legendary Drogba.
For now, it seems that Ba is the one to depart and Torres, Lukaku will probably stay. The question is, Are Chelsea looking to sell the wrong striker and perhaps Torres should be the one leaving?
Currently, Blues are chasing the signature of star striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan will cost Chelsea a huge amount and surely, he will be favorite to start week in week out.
Torres signed for Chelsea in 2011 for a record fee and he has never been able to touch double figures as far as league is concerned. While Demba Ba only joined last winter and has scored 6 goals for Blues as yet.
Although, Ba’s goal scoring stats for Blues are not really prolific as well but still one can say that he has not been given enough time, and a hell lot less time than Fernando Torres who has been far from a 50 million player for far too long.
Adding to that, Lukaku was impressive on loan for WestBromwich Albion and perhaps is the only Chelsea striker who has the traits of Drogba and fits Chelsea’s style of play.
Not to forget, Chelsea have already signed Andre Schurrle who can play winger and a striker as well.
Torres is adamant that he wants to stay with Chelsea but is he really going to get much playing time if Cavani signs. Is he going to accept a bench role being 29 years old? Moreover, what is the point of keeping a player on the bench who earns a mammoth 175k a week?
For now, it is likely that Demba Ba will depart. Whatever happens, the fans are not really worried for now as the blues supporters have complete faith in Mourinho.

What a bias comment against Torres!
How many goals had Ba with Chelsea, including assist?Torres is gradually getting back into his element and should be the one to stay amongst the duo.

  3. Torres is a donkey he’s not worth £5m never mind £50 but it seems Abramovic has a thing for him,so he’l be staying,Mourinho has a good football brain and wont agree to this,so they are at loggerheads ,the Russian has told Mourinho he cannot spend money in the same way as he did the last time he managed Chelsea,AND SO IT BEGINS the Narcissistic maniac and the Russian mafia boss are at each other already, and the season has’nt even kicked off yet ,LOL !!
