Rooney’s Departure Won’t Hurt if “La Maquina” Joins United

Rooney’s Departure Won’t Hurt if “La Maquina” Joins UnitedDavid Moyes’s name is everywhere to be seen in the media as the man who will eventually replace Alex Ferguson at the end of the season. Hence, Wayne Rooney is expected to not unite with his ex boss and leave Manchester United this summer.
Since his arrival, Robin van Persie has replaced Rooney as the main talisman for the Red Devils still Wazza has been an intergral part of Alex Ferguson’s side for years. Having said that, Rooney’s departure won’t hurt if “La Maquina” (The Machine) joins United.
Still wondering who that person is, don’t think so, it is obviously Cristiano Ronaldo. The Madrid star has been a goal-scoring machine for Los Blancos since he departed Manchester United in 2009.
Former Ballon D’or winner for Red Devils has recently scored his 200th goal for Real Madrid in only 197 appearances. United are reportedly preparing a bid for their ex-number 7 in what would be a mouth watering prospect for the club and supporters.
Although United fans would have preferred a combination of Mourinho and Ronaldo but in any case the return of one of the best players in the world will make them even stronger and amplify their chances of retaining the title next season despite the fact that other rivals are looking to heavily reinforce their squads as well.
The big question of course, how much will Ronaldo actually cost. Real Madrid paid a mammoth 80 million pounds for the Portuguese international that still stands as the transfer record. However, back then, Ronaldo used to score 30 odd goals a season, now he scores 50 odd goals.
No wonder scoring goals in La liga is easy as compared to the premier league; still Ronaldo has surely improved his game reaching the peak of his career at Real Madrid. Perhaps the best option for Manchester United will be to add Rooney in a player plus cash deal to bring the superstar back home.
Antonio Valencia who currently occupies the iconic number 7 shirt has had a poor season this time around and is one of few United players that might leave the club this summer. Nevertheless, if Ronaldo arrives, don’t think he will be wearing any other number than his very own CR7.
As mentioned, Rooney has been a significant part of Manchester United since 2005 and more than a few eyebrows will be raised if he leaves. However, not all will be lost, as United will no doubt sign a top quality replacement. If that is Ronaldo then the fans are in for a massive party.

All other clubs can forget about winning the title if Ronaldo comes in. Even if it is Moyes they will win with Ronaldo

If wayne rooney leaves, so does the manchester united spirit. rooney is the engine of this team and if he moves to any other club in england that club is bound to become twice as dangerous. especially if he moves to chelsea, because if does then God help us.
