United and City after Star Playmakers

United and City after Star PlaymakersHaving lost the title to Manchester United, Manchester City are ready to reinforce the squad this summer to challenge their rivals at the top. At the same time, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to amplify quality to retain the premier league crown.
Reports suggests that both Manchester clubs are after star playmakers to bolster their squads. The Red Devils are linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s talisman Gareth Bale. On the other hand the sky blues are chasing German starlet Marco Reus. The mentioned stars are arguably two of the brightest talents in the world right now.

Manchester United

Bale recently won the PFA player of the year award for the second time and has single handedly run the show for Andre Villas Boas’s side in the premier league.
If Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League, it is highly unlikely that their prized asset will be staying for another season as a player of his caliber surely deserves CL football. Nevertheless, Bale is going to be way expensive and rated around 50 odd million by Spurs.
Not many clubs can afford him and besides Manchester United, Bale has been linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid as well. In case he opts to stay in the premier league then surely United are favorites to land him.
Arsenal obviously never an option for him after leaving Spurs, Chelsea already have barrage of playmakers, same is the case with City and they are also chasing Reus. Therefore premier league champions might just be the one to lure the Welsh International.

Manchester City

Borussia Dortmund might be far far behind German champions Bayern Munich in the league but they have one foot in the champions league final and Marco Reus has been influential for them.
The German star has been in great form for both club and country and draws interest from major European clubs. The big questions are, will he be interested in leaving Dortmund after joining them just last summer? Will Dortmund be ready to sell another super star after confirming the sale of Mario Goetze? Also likely, that star striker Lewandowski may leave as well.
Jurgen Klopp’s has been losing his quality players every season. Sahin left Dortmund 2 years back, Kagawa left last year, Goetze is on his way out and others are linked elsewhere as well. Surely he would like to hold on to Reus.
The playmaker himself is not interested in leaving Germany but a mega offer from Manchester City may as well force the club to sell and also tempt Reus in joining the sky blues as they may offer attractive wages.
In any case, signing these two superstars is easier said than done. Whether or not the deals will go through, only time will tell.

Regardless of whether Spurs play CL or not Bale will leave this summer and United it will be

There will be no chance of Levy selling Bale to any English Premier League team no matter what, if Bale does go which i doubt he will, he will be moving out of the Premier League the same way Modric did. Levy will not be looking to make any premier league team stronger by selling them our best players. End off!

    1) Your sole reasoning for assuming Bale will be sold ‘if’ Spurs fail to qualify for the CL is that ‘surely a player of his quality deserves to be playing in the CL’ – but that is all it is, an assumption. Very many snippets of information, including words from the player’s mouth, suggest that it may be an incorrect assumption.
    2) United being the favourites ‘if’ Bale is sold within the EPL, rests on one fuindamental misunderstanding – Daniel Levy bears a grudge, and he hasn’t forgotten how Beetroot Head bullied, connived, tapped-up and generally misbehaved his way to Dimitar Berbatov. And if that weren’t enough, when the FA dismissed Levy’s complaint of tapping up, even though the evidence was so blatant that it was ridiculous and cowardly to ignore, Fergie had to have the last word with his nasty parting shot about Levy ‘being different’. Do you honestly believe that Levy will have forgotten, or forgiven, that? He won’t have. Why do you think Fergie admitted their was no point in going for Modric, even though the whole World could see he was just what United needed? If, by any chance, it does happen, I doubt that £50 million would be enough – the deal would have to be massively in Spurs’ favour and that includes players as well as money. It ain’t happenin’.

  4. Bale wil surely keave this summer and if he does, man utd is the favourite EPL for him,i believe man utd can aford his price tag

so fergie is manu managr bale must join the red devils as d crown or i said champion of england up man u an i hope robert will join man u this summer

  6. Mick says:

Even though I would love to see bale at united I feel we need a solid centre back to replace rio as he is getting older now, plus a new left back as we don’t have sufficient cover. Rooney has been great for us this year but with the possibility of earning more money with psg we may need a new striker too
