Why Arsenal's New Trophy Could Be the Trickle of a Flood

Why Arsenal's New Trophy Could Be the Trickle of a FloodThe Gunners have been named ‘Club of the Year’ for providing their fans with the best customer service. In these awards being run by the Premier League and tourism board ‘VisitEngland’ Fulham, Man City, and Liverpool also picked up awards.
No surprise for Wigan fans it seems! For this award, top-flight English clubs have been monitored for customer service for the past two seasons and a panel of industry experts voted Arsenal the club of the year for their “simply outstanding service” at the Emirates.
The judges went on to state that:

“Their staff at every level from stewards to catering and cleaners to retail were very impressive. They clearly have a culture of high standards at Emirates Stadium and their professionalism shines through.”

Although many jokes will be made of this award, it being Arsenal’s first trophy, apart from the Emirates cup, in 8 years or so, it could be a sign of things to come.
As well as Arsenal’s newly found togetherness in this years squad, it is clear from their new award that their hospitality and service is as good as their pitch, and the players on it.
Although good hospitality off the pitch is to be expected at the Emirates, due to the price of the tickets; one of the major keys to success is being a good club off the pitch, as well as on the pitch of course, and the new award issued to Arsenal represents an all round good club.
Every successful club must have good relations with their fans, just look at Blackburn. Arsenal now have a fantastic playing surface, great service and a fantastic team.
I’m not saying that this award suddenly means Arsenal will win the Champions Leauge, but the foundations are in place for Arsenal to finally begin winning trophies again, and not just for their outstanding service and pies.

Let’s be realistic about this season. In midfield, Arsenal look strong with pace on the wings. Attacking options are excellent, just what Wenger would have wanted. The defence has improved substantially since last season and the goalkeeping position has been reinforced. They appear to have more strength and depth in the playing squad.
Arsenal are becoming a difficult team to beat in any competition. Teams like Stoke and Sunderland no longer are able to hustle a win when playing this team. Which all looks good, especially in the Cup competitions. But Arsenal are a good few points behind Chelsea in the league, thanks to a rather lucky win by Chelsea at the Emirates. No reason why they can’t improve on last year’s points total though, and maybe improve on last year’s position. As for the Champions League, Arsenal should win the group stage and with a good draw in the first knockout game (avoiding Barcelona), this team could make the final. After all, Wenger has done it before with a weaker defence. Arsenal fans can look forward to a very competitive season in the league, but they have a great chance in the cup competitions.

I agree with you Helen, even this year we can still win something.
